Roland PESTY – President

roland-pestyRoland Pesty has over 25 years of experience in the emergence and development of innovative solutions using information and communication technologies as well as micro- and nanotechnologies.
His professional experience has centered on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, accentuated by highly developed skills in management and company leadership (profit center director, director of development, director of strategic partnerships, strategic consultant, and co-founder of multiple start-ups). His expertise lies in combining strategic approaches, in an occasionally radical context of innovation, and implementing operational actions in multicultural environments.
Roland Pesty has been President of the Cluster since 2012.

Nicolas HORVAIS – Treasurer

After receiving his DEA (Advanced Studies diploma) in Physiology and Motor Performance Biomechanics (Université de Sports, Poitiers), Nicolas HORVAIS earned a Doctorate in Sciences and Techniques of Physical and Sports Activity (STAPS) at the Laboratoire de Physiologie de l’Exercice (LPE) at Université de Savoie, delivering his doctoral thesis on the man-machine interface in sports-related products. While completing his doctorate, Nicolas also initiated scientific collaborations with various companies from the sports world, such Osymetric, Wingroop, Décathlon, and the Fédération Française de Ski.
Since 2007, he has been the director of the Biomechanics and Physiology Laboratory at Salomon, a French brand of Outdoor Sports equipment. The author of numerous STAPS-related publications, he has also developed research activities at the Universities of Nice Sophia Antipolis and Savoie, and at Salomon.
He was elected Treasurer of SPORALTEC Office in 2012

Frédérique HINTZY – Secretary

Conference Director at the Department of Sciences and Techniques of Physical and Sports Activity (STAPS) at UFR Centre Interdisciplinaire Scientifique de la Montagne (CISM), Université de Savoie. She is also in charge of the professional degree specialization Ergomics of Physical Activity, Engineering and Product Design (EAPICP), part of the “STAPS” distinction in the Master’s degree program at the Universities of Savoie and Jean Monnet.
Frédérique HINTZY completed her doctoral studies in Life and Health Studies at Université de Franche-Comté. She also earned a STAPS DEA in Sports Practice Condition, specializing in Biological Approach, and a Master’s degree in Sports Sciences, with the distinction “Sports Training”. Since 2001 she has been a researcher at the Laboratoire de Physiologie de l’Exercice (Université de Savoie) in the fields of Biomechanics and Bioenergetics of Human Locomotion, with applications to sports and leisure equipment. She is the author of numerous publications and was an exhibitor at several scientific events.
In 2005 she was on the team in charge of creating the dossier for the formation of SPORALTEC. Later she became a member of SPORALTEC’s governing staff, at the Office, on the Board of Administration and on the Scientific Board.

Timothée SILVESTRE – Cluster Manager

Since 2012 Mr. SILVESTRE has performed the functions of operational steering for the cluster as well as developing the Outdoor Sports activity.
With a background in science, engineering and biotechnologies (ESBS) and computer science (ENSEEIHT), Timothée Silvestre first worked for 4 years as a research engineer at the CNRS in the field of innovative “Grid Computing” technologies, in collaboration with the CERN. He then completed his scientific training with a Master’s degree in Business Administration in 2005 at the IAE de Lyon, and worked as a consultant in innovation marketing with the company Time To Market.
It was in 2006 that he joined the Burgundy Region Chamber of Commerce under the Regional Agency for Strategic and Technological Innovation (ARIST). As Head of the Innovation Mission, he was responsible for technology monitory and support for companies in various sectors such as aeronautics, mechanics and construction.
Promoted to Head of the Activities Sector in 2010, he implemented the innovation strategy for the GA2B and Innovabois clusters.
